Always Reblog the Fabulous Thranduil

So someone on Tumblr saw that gif of Thranduil being fabulous. You know the one. Yes, you do - don't bother to deny it.

And this happened:

In which Thranduil is actually Emperor Kuzco. Bonus points for Fili's wide-eyed look of horror, Kili's look of, "Seriously? This is what Elves are like?" (he also appears to be covering Bilbo's eyes for him!! Aw, that's so thoughtful of you, Kili!), and then... just... Thorin's facepalm.

That facepalm. It just screams years of Thorin having to endure Thranduil's fabulousness with every diplomatic visit. It says, "Here we go again." I can't get enough of it.

And can we talk about how Legolas just gets Thranduil's cloak thrown on him and doesn't move? It's like he's used to it by now. The poor guy. No wonder Legolas getting embarrassed by his dad has become memetic in the Tolkien fandom.

I love this fandom so much, y'all.

My Squishy!

I finally found the source of that quote! *dances happily* In my defense, I haven't seen Finding Nemo in quite a number of years.

Now I can quote this properly.

Further Desolation of Feels, Anyone?

Friendly reminder that Thorin is all alone in this collection of brothers because his own little brother, Frerin, died at the battle of Azanulbizar at the age of 48.

48.

For context, Fili is 82 and Kili is 77.

You may now go cry buckets of tears.

If you want me to make it worse, I can share my headcanons with you: namely, I believe that Kili resembles Frerin a great deal and that that is why Thorin is so protective of him, and that Frerin was killed by Azog trying to protect Thorin.

You may now go cry even more buckets of tears.

So True

*cackles insanely and runs off now that the damage is done*

Because this is extremely true. In fact, most of the princes from Disney are kind of bleh. Not much personality there, if you know what I mean? They're all just your standard tall, dark, and handsome princes charming. (Prince Charmings? Oh, I don't know how to pluralize that. You hear 'Prince Charmings' more but I think the noun should be pluralized, not the adjective.)

Granted, the one from Cinderella (does he have a name?) improved vastly in Cinderella 3 (which might actually be my favorite because it's just hilarious), but the rest... meh.

Although Flynn Rider does get points for being the smartest Disney character of all time - he actually is confused when people randomly burst into song.

Speaking of which, take a look at this cosplay:

I almost thought that was animation at first, not a real person. Some of these people who do cosplay are amazingly talented. I, of course, do not rank among that number.

Let Me Sing You the Song of My People

If you have not seen by now the video of Orlando Bloom himself doing this song, I don't know what to say. Because you simply aren't a Ringer if you've never sang along with, "They're Taking the Hobbits to Isengard!"

Catholic Anime Once Again

GKC for the win!

Ahahahahaha. Okay, maybe Tuxedo Mask has a useful purpose in that sense. However, usually, both of them are useless.

Never thought you'd see Sailor Moon and St. Therese in the same post, did you?

Merry Christmas, everyone.

Help, I Can't Stop Laughing

I just... I don't even have any words to describe this.

What is this new devilry?

*goes off to laugh hysterically*

Oh, by the way, the source appears to be theunicornslap.tumblr.com. Not sure if they did it or not, but whatever.

I'm Not Sorry

It's Richard Armitage. I'm posting it without remorse. You should know me by now.

And now for the picture versions:

These pictures make me so happy, especially the first one. You do not know how happy they make me. All praise to Eru Iluvatar for allowing this man to embody Thorin for us. It wouldn't be the same without him.

Anyone Excited for Christmas?

Personally, I'm looking forward to Midnight Mass tonight.

Okay, I may have done this post just in order to use these two gifs. *whistles innocently*

Gandalf the Red

We have fun times on TOR.net. XD For example, our latest caption contest:

Ataahua: "Gandalf goes undercover in December."

Kim: "Balin was late, so that left only one choice to play Santa."

Otaku-sempai: "I am the keeper of the Secret Cane!"

ryouko: "Santa Claus is never early or late. He arrives precisely when he means to."

Lissuin: "There are no safe paths in this part of the world. Remember you are over the Edge of the Wild now, and in for all sorts of fun wherever you go. Before you could get round Peppermint Stick Forest in the North you would be right along the slopes of the Gumdrop Mountains, and they are simply stiff with goblins, hobgoblins, and orcs of the worst description. before you could get round it in the West, you would get into the land of Lord Licorice; and even you, Bilbo, won't need me to tell you tales of that black sorcerer. Stick to the Rainbow Path, keep your spirits up, hope for the best, and with a tremendous slice of luck you may one day see the Molasses Swamp below you, and beyond it, high in the East, the Lost Candy Castle where dear old Smaug lives, though I hope he is not expecting you."

cats16: "Nobody sees the Wizard!"

The Prancing Pony: "What do you mean? Do you mean to wish me a merry Christmas, or do you mean it is a Christmas to be merry on? Or do you mean that you feel particularly merry this Christmas?"

zarabia: "One does not simply walk to the North Pole."

Me: "YOU SHALL NOT PEEK ...into your presents."

I love TheOneRing.net so much, all right? XD

All Hail Jed!

I found the Jed Brophy Post To Rule Them All and must, according to my personal code of Tolkien geekdom, repost it here.

| Jed Brophy, everyone.

| | And don't forget

| | Rohan Jed Brophy as well!

| | wow this dude gets around

| | | Do not forget him as one of the Black Riders chasing Arwen

| | | | plot twist: all characters in LOTR and the Hobbit are played by Jed Brophy

| | | | Jed Brophy as Frodo

| | | | Jed Brophy as Galadriel

| | | | Jed Brophy as everyone

| | | | | Jed is everyone.

| | | | | Jed is you. Jed is me.

| | | | | A L L H A I L J E D

My brother and I literally cackled like madmen over this post. I'm still deriving way too much amusement out of that photoshopped FOTR poster... XD
