Someone Get Me Off Of Pinterest

...So, guess what I've found.

I don't even think I need to explain by this point.

I love summer.

(Oh, and before you ask, I was out this morning chopping weeds with a mattock in the cow pasture, so it is not as if all I do is lounge around looking up stuff on the Internet. It only seems that way. I also washed the dishes. No, I did not chip any glasses, crack any plates, or blunt the knives - fortunately for me.)

Hahaha. Fandom crossovers. Speaking of which:

Cheers if you got this one!

Uh, yes, Dwalin is totally a wolverine. At least, I assume that is a wolverine. It looks like all pictures I have seen of them (including how they appear in Zoo Tycoon 2). And it is not the Hugh Jackman kind, which I am not fond of anyway.

Okay, okay, I admit it - I think Cyclops is cooler than Wolverine! There, I said it! Flame me all you like now, but you will never change my opinion!

I may have posted that one before. (The tag says it's by kadeart on Tumblr, and it appears to resemble her style.) Or I may not have. I can't remember. If I have, it deserves reposting and I am totally not sorry. Not in the least.

I haven't even seen "Gentleman" yet. Nor do I have an interest do. This sums up me in some weird way.

BOFUR SMASH!!

I actually really like this picture of Bofur. I must admit that nice, adorable guys who can still pick up a heavy mining mattock and smash a troll's toes are awesome.

If you don't belive me, I must tell you that my brother and I watched the troll fight frame by frame (we saw one guy whom we believe is 'old Fili', or Fili when Rob Kazinsky was still playing him, but we're not really sure...). Bofur gets at least two of the trolls on the foot with his mattock, and going by the look of it... that thing has got to hurt.

Bofur FTW.

It must be a family habit, is all I can say.

Just... perfect.

This picture is even his avatar (or whatever it's called) on Twitter. He's @BrownAds. And it was his birthday yesterday!

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY, ADAM BROWN! THANK YOU FOR BEING SO ADORIBLE!!

And I STILL have like 60 pictures to post.

I'm still not sorry.

Fangirls Are Evil

Someday I really, really, really need to type up my Guidelines for Sane Shipping and share them. Other people might get a chuckle out of them at any rate. Or they might be cringing and nodding their heads along with me, I don't know.

Any thoughts on that?

In the meanwhile... I found this.

RUN, KILI. RUN AND DON'T LOOK BACK.

Or this will happen:

Now, we have long suspected that somethingn dark and evil lurks in the hearts of rabid fangirls. It leads them to drooling, making shameful posts about the objects of their, um... obsession, and to writing horrid fanfics. If we're lucky, the poor characters only get beat up so that they can be comforted. Which is quite cruel, in my books. If we're not lucky, they write self-insert Mary Sue fanfics, and things get...

BAD.

And now we finally have evidence of what those rabid fangirls become, thanks to lissinator on Tumblr:

Now you know.

Now It's Time For a Few Sherlock Pics

I have to be fair, you know. I can't treat all my favorite fandoms unequally. Well, actually, I can. I don't think there's a law against that yet. But I like making fun of stuff like this.

Tolkien's legendarium will always be my number one fandom. But I am allowed to like other stuff, and to try to convert people to it.

Right? XD

Uh, yep. Tumblr will crash when season three comes out. Yes, indeedy.

On that vein:

They also have way too much time on their hands. They have also discovered Photoshop. The world has not been the same since.

I have seen someone write that they would be quite happy with a movie composed entirely of just Martin Freeman's facial expressions. While I must admit to the truth of that, I can only add that anything with just these two running around and acting like this has to be gold.

I mean, look at them.

See what I mean?

I honestly don't know whether to go, "Awwww," over this picture or to start running for the hills and not looking back. It just has that sort of vibe, you know.

I also found some nice gifs of Martin Freeman being adorable and don't know where else to put them, so I'm going to lump them in here. Even if they aren't necessarily anything to do with Sherlock. I mean, with the whole SuperWhoLock movement, fandoms seem to be merging, and then there's the whole Smauglock thing going on, so I think I can get away with it...

The fact that he's just wearing his hobbit ears and not any other part of his costume is probably the funniest part about this - other than the expressions themselves, of course.

And here he is again, ladies and gentlemen. Oh, wait, he's also wearing his hobbit feet. My mistake.

Here he is in full costume, doing... I'm not exactly sure what. Just sort of... trotting around and being ridiculously adorable.

Oh, that reminds me. Here's another Smauglock sort of thing, courtesy of PeckishOwl on Deviantart (again).

And now back to our regularly scheduled Hobbit programming.

Awesome

I haven't checked to verify this astronomically, but this is awesome:

I really don't have any words to express the sheer awesomeness of this. I think I'll just keel over and join Bilbo on the floor...

Random Funny Things

Or, random pics I found on someone's Pinterest page while I was really looking for Hobbit stuff, but still worthy of blogging.

And those are our boys from Being Human. If the guy on the right looks familiar, well... he should. *coughAidancough*

I can relate. The squirrels have simply taken over UNA's campus... They stalk the students, they stalk the faculty... perhaps only the landscaping people with their blowers and rakes can scare these intrepid little guys...

More Pictures!

*sing-song tone of voice* I'm baaaaaaaack! And I've brought with me pictures that I didn't get the change to post last niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight!

No, I have no idea either why I decided to put so many i's in that word. Honestly, no idea. At least it wasn't five exclamation marks. That is the sure sign of a diseasd mind. At least, Terry Pratchett has said so, so it must be true.

Have I mentioned that I got Wee Free Men the last time I was at the bookstore? YES! I am beginning my Pterry collection. Now, if only I could find someone to discuss it with...

Sad face.

On to the pictures! Or pictures of text... or whatever they are... miscellaneous funny Tolkien-related things... stuff...

Now that is an idea, yes, precious! We should troll all telemarketers from now on by picking up the phone and speaking in Gollum's voice. The only problem is that the telemarketer might be a closet Tolkien fan and know what I am doing, yes, precious. However, the problem then arises of why are they a telemarketer when they like Tolkien and should therefore rise above such drudgery... I suppose they could always be movie-only fans.

Anyway.

Ooh, an even better idea, yes, precious! Troll all telemarketers in Gollum's voice - IN GERMAN!

I am grinning stupidly just picturing the looks on their faces.

Sadly, this is not a gif. I wish it were. Then I would keep it and add it to my little gif collection.

*checks folder* Ooooookay, apparently I have somehow managed to accumulate 95 gifs without realizing it.

Let me rephrase that.

Sadly, this is not a gif. I wish it were. Then I would keep it and add it to my huge gif collection!

Uh... now that I come to think about it, yes, that's right! But of course Bilbo would do that. It's a very Bilbo-ish thing to do.

I never noticed that before! Huh. The theory is sound! Perhaps it shall be added to my equally huge collection of headcanons...

I have a lot of headcanons, okay? Mostly they just get left to rot in my brain, but some get digested and thought about and eventually regurgitated into fanfic. Yes, fanfic. I have joined the dark side. FF.net.

On that note, I have finally figured out (duh!) how to insert horizontal lines into chapters. Yay! I love horizontal lines. They help keep everything nice and neat. I like things to be nice and neat and organized. It's logical.

I don't have to put * * paragraph break * * at random sections of my chapters anymore. I can just put lines!

That means, of course, that I get to go back and fix all those things in previous chapters... *headbang*

I like how whoever posted this was using Twitter in German and I can still understand perfectly what "Antworten" and "Mehr" means. Of course, "Retweeten" shouldn't be too hard to figure out for even most English-speaking people...

I love how someone obviously took the effort to lovingly stencil the LOTR-ish font and the designs of the leavs and vines onto this Jersey barrier. (I do believe that is what this sort of concrete structure is called.) I wonder, does it say the same thing on the opposite side of the bridge?

Really, no commentary I can add below this picture can add to its perfection. I will just note taht the cat's expression is truly evil and back away slowly...

Oh, by the way, did you know that Sauron started off in The Book of Lost Tales as Thu the giant, evil cat?

You're welcome for your new nightmare.

You MUST click on it to see what they are saying. This is from an interview where the reporter asked them if they did the singing for Misty Mountains.

Aidan's face in the top picture is simply hilarious. Plus, there's the fact that he's fiddling with a blade of grass or something through the whole interview (what? I watched it long ago before I found these pictures of it!) and generally... yeah. They're so adorkable.

Here is someone's hilarious commentary on these pictures:

"Hahaha, Aidan's face in that top frame!! He and Dean look like two kids that were pulled off the playground and made to sit still and talk, while Adam just happily sits there like the little Englishman that he is!"

Whenever I see this on Pinterest I just start cracking up... because, yes, it DOES sound so plausible!! XD

Um, yep, this is pretty much what happens in our house, too. And dad has the exact same reaction. He seems amazed that I know both Blunt the Knives and Misty Mountains (did you think for a moment that I wouldn't???) and that I am not ashamed of singing them randomly. Especially while doing dishes.

Who cares about zombies? DWARVES. Did you hear me? DWARVES. Elves are so last year!

I wish I had discovered that one the week finals were over with!!

Uh... yeah... pretty much.

They just don't understand the breadth and width and depth of my obsession.

I mean, it's beyond an obsession. It's a way of life.

And I'm only half-joking.
